Visit the Rogers Member Center at - and page down to App Passwords. It appears that the email client Thunderbird needs special passwords called "App Passwords" (one for each of your Rogers email account) to be able to send messages through the Yahoo stmp server. My "cannot send" situation has been resolved. I have been successfully using my original ones set up for my accounts since then.Ĭan anybody help me restore message sending capability to the 5 none-working accounts? I did this but none of these work either. Last year, I kept getting messages from Rogers to convert my passwords to a multi digit yahoo password. When I key in the account's password, the server refuses to send the message. The issue appears to be the passwords between the last 5 accounts and the yahoo smtp server since I get an message asking for me to in put the password. Have tried changing the stmp settings to the Yahoo server, with no success. I can receive and send messages from three of the accounts which (counter-intuitively) have "" (port 465) as the server.īut I can receive but not send messages from 5 of the accounts which have the smtp server "" (port 465).

Up until last week (and for many years), all these account worked correctly but now 5 of them will not send out messages.

I have 8 Rogers email accounts and use Thunderbird v52.6 (32bit) as my email client. Thunderbird- some of my Rogers accounts can send others cannot
